Author’s Information
President & CEO, NISSYO Co., Ltd.
Born in Ome City, Tokyo in 1957. After graduating from Tachikawa High School and earning a degree from the School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, he joined Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. in 1981, where he worked in the semiconductor division as an engineer. In 1989, he transitioned to a sales engineer role, serving both domestic and international clients before leaving the company in 1991.
That same year, he joined Nissho Industries Co., Ltd., the company founded by his father. Although he initially regretted the move within three months, he later mastered the use of management planning documents as a practical management tool, transforming the small factory into a mid-sized company with tenfold growth in both sales and profits.
In 2018, the company was renamed NISSYO Co., Ltd., embracing a vision of diversity-driven management.
Under his leadership, NISSYO was selected by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) as a Regional Future-Driving Company and received the MCPC Award 2018.
To date, the company has welcomed over 400 organizations for benchmarking visits, eager to learn from its unique management practices.
