Author’s Information

Tome Kamioooka
Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University of Science. After working for a construction company, she became an illustrator. She is a first-class architect, a first-degree black belt in Kodokan Judo, and a registered instructor with the Japan Yoga and Meditation Association. Her numerous books include the million-selling "Kippari! How to Change Yourself in Just 5 Minutes," "Noudama 1 and 2" (co-authored with Ikeya Yuji), "An Illustrated Guide to Japanese Clothing," and "Forgiving Yourself as You Age."

Takahiro Sugiyama
Director of Kawasaki Saiwai Clinic and Chairman of the Ishinkai Social Medical Corporation. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1947. Graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Medicine in 1973. He has devoted nearly 50 years to community-based healthcare alongside patients and their families.
Since 1981, he has participated in the activities of the Alzheimer’s Association Japan. He has served as a member and chair of various committees involved in establishing systems for dementia group homes and small-scale multifunctional in-home care, as well as committees evaluating the quality of group homes and similar facilities.
He has authored and supervised many publications, including “The 9 Major Principles of Dementia: 50 Symptoms and How to Respond” (Hoken) and “Understanding the Hearts of People with Dementia: Practical Case Studies for Care and Support” (Shufunotomo).
He also supervised and appeared in the film “Facing Dementia” (Toei Educational Films), which has been widely praised for its clarity and accessibility.

Naoko Kuroda
CFPR Level 1 Financial Planning Technician, a CNJ-certified Breast Cancer Survivor Coordinator, and a certified consumer life counselor. After working at a major think tank, she obtained a financial planner license. She went independent in 1998. She currently lectures at various seminars, lectures, and courses, writes for newspapers, books, magazines, and websites, and provides individual consultations.
