In 1981, she learned the basics of patchwork at the Kuroha Quilt Circle. Later, she started a patchwork class called "Quilt Circle" at her home.
Her dollhouse quilts, which combine patchwork and dollhouse designs, are popular. She now also creates many pieces using Japanese fabrics.
