Abstract

The debut work of the photograper who later become a well known landscape photographer. The author presents the beautiful scenery of forests in Hakkoda, Towada, Oirase, northeast region of Japan.

Author’s Information

Michiko Yone is a photographer. She is a member of the Japan Profesional Photographers Society (JPS), and became the first woman to receive Maeda Shizo Prize, the award which produced numerous later-known landscape photographers. She self-studied photography and won many photo competitions in her amateur days. She is well known for her photos of the beautiful landcape of Japan, especially forests which she tripped to take pictures all across the country. She teaches photography at schools and seminars, and serves as a judge in photography competitions.
