Author’s Information

Born in Tokyo in 1974, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Cambridge, Fellow of Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge, Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo, and Doctor of Science. After receiving his education in Japan from elementary school through graduate school, he began studying abroad. After completing his doctoral studies at the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2006, he worked as a researcher at the University of Jena, Germany, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and as a lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, before assuming his current position in 2014. His research field is robotics, and he has taught in Switzerland and the UK for 16 years, producing over 200 students around the world.
