Abstract

"Eat it all, don't leave it behind" - a picture book filled with love for roasted sweet potatoes. A simple yet amazing thing, that's what roasted sweet potatoes are. Compared to sweets and hamburgers, roasted sweet potatoes look plain and unremarkable. But they are packed with nutrients and are also very warm. Everyone who eats roasted sweet potatoes will have a big smile on their face. They will continue to make everyone smile from the past, and into the future. This is a heart-filling sweet potato picture book, where the warmth of roasted sweet potatoes and their melting honey-like sweetness are conveyed through the powerful images with strong brushstrokes.

Author’s Information

She lives in Kumamoto Prefecture and is a mother of four. She was captivated by the world of picture books after reading aloud to children while working at a bookstore, and decided to become a picture book author. Her debut work was "Omurice Mom" (Libre Publishing). She won the Excellence Award at the 10th Aridagawa Picture Book Competition for "Wagomuie de Suru" (Hikari no Kuni).
