Author’s Information

Born in Nara Prefecture and currently residing in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Inujun made his authorial debut in 2014 after winning the 8th Japan Mobile Phone Novel Award (Nihon Keitai Shosetsu Taisho) for Itsuka, Nemuri ni Tsuku Hi (Someday, the Day I Go to Sleep / Starts Publishing). In 2019, the novel was adapted into a television drama series broadcast on Fuji TV's FOD and terrestrial networks, and was later adapted into a manga.

He won the Grand Prize in the "Paperbacks We Want to See Filmed" category at the 8th Shizuoka Bookstore Awards for Kono Fuyu, Inakunaru Kimi e (To You, Who Will Disappear This Winter / Poplar Publishing), and won the same award at the 10th Shizuoka Bookstore Awards for Kono Koi ga, Kanau nara (If This Love Comes True / Shueisha).

He has authored numerous other popular works, including a series of stories depicting the journey of life: Mujin'eki de Kimi o Matteiru (Waiting for You at an Unmanned Station), Tabi no Owari ni Kimi ga Ita (You Were There at the End of the Journey), and Shuchakueki de Matsu Kimi e (To You, Waiting at the Terminal Station) (all from Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha). Other notable works include Kimi no Ao ga, Umi ni Tokeru made (Until Your Blue Melts into the Sea / KADOKAWA), Kimi ga Kureta Nanokakan no Yomei Calendar (The 7-Day Life Expectancy Calendar You Gave Me / Futabasha), and Kon'ya, Kimi ga Nemuri ni Ochiru made (Until You Fall Asleep Tonight / PHP Institute).

He has a loyal fanbase drawn to his signature style of "unexpected plot twists paired with tear-jerking human fantasy," as well as his profound works exploring the themes of life and death. In recent years, he has been active across a wide range of genres, including writing the original story draft for the manga Teppen!!! (Bushiroad Comics).
