Abstract

A new book from the hugely popular baby pop-up book series by Mitsue Hiragi! A picture book of animals that will make babies smile.

◆Mitsue Hiragi's baby books use the same words and rhythm, so the more you read them, the more smiles your baby will have.
◆A cute story in which animals pile on top of each other to keep a bird from getting wet in the rain.

In the rain, a bird is sitting alone, getting wet. Then a rabbit comes along. "I'll be your umbrella," says the rabbit, and piles on top of the bird to protect it from the rain. Then a dog, a bear, and an elephant come along and say, "I'll be your umbrella too," and so on... A cute picture book of animals piling on top of each other. The rhythmic repetition of words will also help encourage babies to speak naturally.

Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo. Picture book author. Her works include the pop-up books "Oh? A Face!", "Kororin-Pa!", and "Guruguru-san" ("Akachan ga Yorokobu Shikake Ehon Series" Holp Shuppan), and the picture books "Nezou Pro Wrestling" (Kyoiku Gakugeki), "Densha Unten Shimasu!" (Kin no Hoshi Sha), and "Mofumofu-chan" (Iwasaki Shoten). "Kororin-Pa!" was selected as an IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) Barrier-Free Children's Book 2021.
