Abstract

★"Win halfway. Finish small. Laugh often."... Buddha's teachings that are effective in everyday life, so you can stop worrying and suffering.
★The bestselling author of "Not Getting Angry" and a Theravada Buddhist elder who conveys the origins of Buddhism, shows the practical wisdom of Buddha in a straightforward manner.
★It is important to focus on "how you perceive" rather than "the problems that befall you."

"I don't understand the meaning of work," "I'm at the mercy of human relationships," "I suffer from anger and inferiority complex"—all of these are because we overcomplicate things, worry about things we don't need to worry about, and "stumble" in life.

We have no choice but to carefully observe the "three poisons of the mind (desire, anger, and ignorance)" and diligently adapt to the environment we are given. Instead of complaining about the environment, we have no choice but to acquire the strength to live in that environment. Here are some hints for doing so...

・There are people you don't get along with → Just play your role to the fullest
・You don't know why you're working → There's no meaning in working in the first place
・You can't find what you're good at → Start by thinking about what you're asked to do
・You envy others → You already have what you need
・Everyone is selfish and it's annoying → You're harsh on others because you don't understand yourself
・You have strong feelings of inferiority or superiority → Think about how to prevent them from "developing"
・You can't control your anger → Take a good look at the "three poisons of the mind (desire, anger, ignorance)"...and more.

This book teaches you ways of thinking and practicing how to "live fully in the present" and "live in harmony with your environment." It's a "loss" to worry and suffer! Open the way to a happy life with this book.

*This book is an original paperback edition compiled from carefully selected writings and Dharma talks, with additions and restructuring to suit the times, to address today's challenges.
