Author’s Information
Akira Kawamura: Director of Kawamura Clinic. Doctor of Medicine. Yoga instructor. He started practicing yoga due to his own physical ailments and devised "Knee-Back Stretching," which incorporates the essence of yoga. He has authored numerous books, including "Knee-Back Stretching: A Miracle to Keep You Bedridden, Doable with Family and Care Staff" (Sekai Bunka Publishing).
Seiji Yasumura: Director of the Fukushima Medical University Center for Radiation Medicine and Public Health Management, and Professor at the Medical University. Doctor of Medicine. His specialties are gerontology (elderly health), community health, and epidemiology. He developed "Relaxing Tai Chi Exercises" in collaboration with Kitakata City and Aizu Public Health Center. He is raising awareness of the importance of exercise in preventing the need for long-term care and falls among the elderly.
Masanori Ikemura: Physical therapist. Works at Kyosei no Ie, a special nursing home for the elderly operated by the Kyoseikai Social Welfare Corporation. As a physical therapist, he evaluates the physical functions of facility users and provides exercise guidance, while also engaging in creative activities and recreation on a daily basis.
