Abstract
A truly terrifying and utterly hopeless "village horror" with no escape. -- Asamiya Unga
I've finished reading it, but a certain "sound" keeps ringing in my head. -- Kengo Kamijo
From the author of "Shikei ni Itaru Yamai (The Disease Leading to the Death Penalty)" and the "Addiction" series .
A full-length horror novel that will send chills down the spine.
Tomobe, a university student, is asked by Professor Kagata, a social folklore professor, to stay in a remote mountain village during his summer vacation and organize true ghost stories submitted to a radio program. There are two things to be careful of: he will be staying in a house where a family was brutally murdered in the 1950s, and he must not drink the water or eat the food grown there. A stone that keeps returning no matter how many times it is returned, a child in a white kimono guarding the shrine, the buzzing of wings that never stops... As Tomobe continues organizing, he gets closer to the gruesome truth hidden in this village.
