Abstract
More than 80 percent of people in Japan are said to experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. Yet for many, finding relief is not easy. Busy schedules often push self-care to the bottom of the list, while even regular visits to a doctor may not resolve chronic pain.
In many cases, the root cause of back pain may not lie in the back itself, but in the postural habits we develop in everyday life. Standing with more weight on one side, working with the shoulders held tense, or sitting with a rounded back—small habits repeated day after day can cause muscles to stiffen and place excessive strain on the body.
In this book, a movement specialist who made a remarkable recovery after being confined to a walker introduces a unique approach to back pain recovery based on the way we lie down and the natural force of gravity. The method takes just three minutes a day and can be performed while lying down, making it easy to continue at any age and without placing undue strain on the body.
Discover a practical path toward relief from chronic back pain and reclaim a more comfortable, active, and healthier everyday life.
