Born in Hokkaido in 1964. Debuted in 2005 with "Konparuya Gomez," which won the 17th Japan Fantasy Novel Award. In 2012, "Nirvana Snow" won the 18th Nakayama Gishu Literary Award, in 2015, "Marumaru no Mari" won the 36th Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Newcomer Award, and in 2021, "Urasabishigawa" won the 164th Naoki Sanjugo Prize.
