Game designer/writer/screenwriter/film director/lyricist/CEO of Storytelling Inc.
Born in Kobe in 1967. As a child, he became hooked on anime after watching "Panda! Go, Panda!" (1972), which was shown alongside Godzilla movies. He grew up watching Space Battleship Yamato, Gundam, and Studio Ghibli works, embarking on an otaku lifestyle. After working part-time in game development, he was in charge of advertising creative at Recruit's Kansai branch and Culture Convenience Club. After moving to Nikkei Video Bank to develop PC games, he worked as a game director at Chunsoft. During that time, "3-nen B-gumi Kinpachi-sensei: Densetsu no Kyoudan ni Tate!", which he planned and directed, won the CESA GAME AWARDS 2005 Excellence Award, and "428: Shibuya Scramble", for which he served as general director, won the Japan Game Awards 2009 Excellence Award. After that, he worked at Level-5 before becoming independent in 2014. In addition to game design, he has worked on original stories and scripts for anime and games, written novels, directed films, and composed lyrics. His representative works since going independent include supervising the world setting of "Bungo to Alchemist" and structuring the story for "Shin Sakura Taisen." His published works include "How to Create and Expand IP" (Seikaisha Shinsho).
