Chocolat and Vanilla, two witches, have come to the human world to decide the next queen of the demon world. Chocolat is strong-willed and has a strong sense of justice, while Vanilla is kind-hearted. These two, with their completely opposite personalities, are best friends and rivals vying for the queen's throne.
Love, passion, jealousy, hatred... With the mission to become the Queen of the Demon World by gathering the most of humanity's rich emotions (hearts), she decides to attend the private Moegi Academy disguised as a human.

This work is a stylish and cute magical story that was serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 2003 to 2007. It is a gem of a fantasy that captivated many readers with its dazzling and thoroughly developed world, but it also contains the author's sincere thoughts that "the manga that children read leaves a deep impression on their memories, so there is a responsibility to do so" and "we must consider how to nurture the foundation of the hearts of those who will become adults," and it is a work that asks the question of "what is truly important."

Author’s Information

Born in Tokyo. She made her debut as a manga artist in her third year of high school. Her representative works include "Happy Mania" (1995, Shodensha) and "Hataraki Man" (2004, Kodansha). She won the 29th Kodansha Manga Award for her fantasy manga "Sugar Sugar Rune" (2003), which was serialized in the shojo manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha). She also won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival for "Hanashitacho Shinshi Kaikoroku" (Shodensha). She is currently serializing "Go Happy Mania" in "FEEL YOUNG" (Shodensha).
