Author’s Information

After completing his master's degree at the University of Tokyo Graduate School in 1992, he joined Toyota Motor Corporation. He gained experience in vehicle dynamics development and Kaizen activities based on TPS (Toyota Production System). In 2013, he joined Asahi Iron Works, and became president in 2016. He transformed the company by utilizing data from the company's proprietary IoT system, "iXacs." This resulted in a 41% improvement in value-added productivity, a 42% reduction in electricity consumption, and a 1 billion yen improvement in profits. He also serves as president of i Smart Technologies. His publications include "Value Added First" (Gijutsu Hyoronsha). He has given numerous lectures and made many media appearances.
