Abstract

Your value lies in the experiences you've had outside of your PC.

Those who don't give up thinking will thrive.
We live in an era where we think we're choosing, but we're actually being chosen.

The emergence of AI will only bring a future where capable people become even more capable. Input is AI, output is ourselves. In an era where more and more people lack confidence in their own words and judgments, the emergence of AI will not make everyone smarter. For example, if people only rely on AI, they will become dependent on it, and conversely, more people will see their intelligence decline. Those whose value increases will increase even more, while those whose value decreases will lose their value. That's the future that awaits us.

So, what should we do?

This book will introduce what we should do, such as: "Let AI acquire information, but we will handle the output ourselves." "Ultimately, experiences gained outside of AI will be the most important." "Those who can move emotions more will win."

Author’s Information

Artificial life researcher. PhD (Engineering). Professor at the Graduate School of Design & Science, Chiba Institute of Technology. Founder and CEO of the Artificial Life Institute. Specializes in artificial life, AI, and complex systems science. Focusing on research into AI systems that evolve like living organisms, she is advancing research on "Symbiotic Alignment," where AI and humans learn together, and "Open-endedness," which studies the exploration process of AI that is not bound by goals. She engages in dialogue with AI researchers and developers around the world, and continues to think daily about how AI will change human intelligence and how humans should live in the age of AI, from both research and practical perspectives. Her major publications include "Questioning Skills in the AI Era: Prompt Literacy" (co-authored, Shoei-sha), "ALIFE | Artificial Life - Towards a More Lifelike AI" (BNN), and "Create and Run ALife" (co-authored, O'Reilly Japan).
