Abstract
Alice Arisugawa's first "Hakushu" novel! At a crossroads in his life, where does the protagonist head...? This long-awaited non-series full-length novel by Alice Arisugawa, a leading figure in authentic mystery, is not a coming-of-age story, but the author's first "Hakushu" novel. And is this work a mystery or not?
A highly skilled editor who made a name for himself in the mystery field until he was over sixty retires and moves to a lodge overlooking the sea in southern Izu. It is the house where the masked author who witnessed the debut of a "mysterious novel" suddenly disappeared one day. Nine years have passed since then. Solving the mystery of the inexplicable disappearance is his mission.
