Abstract
Losing 900 hours a year by worrying the wrong way! What is "good worrying"?
We tend to think of "thinking" as a good thing and don't pay much attention to the time we spend worrying. However, many people unknowingly worry in ways that don't lead to solutions. As a result, problems don't move forward, and we can end up wasting as much as 900 hours a year. So, how can we move towards solving our worries?
What's needed is not mental strength, willpower, or perseverance. It's the "art of worrying"—organizing your worries, visualizing their structure, and transforming them into actions you can take now. In this book, the author, who has been involved in numerous organizational transformations and talent development projects, reveals "good worrying" techniques honed through practical experience.
- How to break down complex, tangled worries
- How to confront vague anxieties about the future
- How to eliminate blind spots in your thinking that you're unaware of
- How to turn worries into "the first step you need to take now".
..and more. Five methods show you the path to solving all kinds of worries you face in work, life, and relationships.
Worries will never disappear. However, if you change how you worry, your life will change dramatically. You will be able to think for yourself, find your own answers, and move forward on your own two feet. This book is a compilation of "thinking techniques that you can use for a lifetime" to help you achieve this.
◎This book is for people who:
- Tend to dwell on the same worries over and over
- Often overthink things and are unable to take action
- Are overwhelmed by stress from work or relationships
- Have vague anxieties about the future
- Feel overwhelmingly depressed when they start worrying
