Abstract

You are you, and others are others. A lighthearted "reading supplement" written by a psychiatrist.

Do you feel vaguely anxious, troubled, or find life difficult? You might be stuck in a mindset of "this is how things should be." This book is packed with hints to untangle the rigid tension in your mind caused by anxiety and worries.

The author is Tomy, a popular psychiatrist with over 390,000 followers on X. It's full of ways of thinking that change your perspective while staying true to yourself, such as "It's okay to have low self-esteem," "It's okay not to force yourself to change your personality," and "It's okay not to have a grand purpose in life." We also introduce Tomy's tips for developing your own "sense of self" that you can start practicing today!

- How to Reduce Work-Related Anxiety Without Changing Jobs
- How to Set Time Limits to Improve Decision-Making and Commitment
- If You’re Afraid of Making Mistakes, Try Changing Your Behavior
- How to Point Out Difficult-to-Discuss Shortcomings
- Scheduling as a Source of Emotional Stability
- Creating Rules to Value “Me Time”

Even amid the never-ending worries of daily life—such as “workplace relationships,” “health, illness, and aging,” “family and parenting,” and “low self-esteem”—this book helps you become a little more at ease and a little happier today than you were yesterday. It’s like a “supplement” for your life.
