Author’s Information

Born in 1980. Lives in Fukuoka Prefecture. Won the Grand Prize of the 15th R-18 Literary Awards for Women by Women for ‘Kameroon no aoi sakana （The Blue Fish of Cameroon)’, and debuted in 2017 with Yozora ni oyogu chokoreeto gramii (Chocolate Grammy Swimming in the Night Sky), which includes the award-winning story. In 2021, won the Japan Booksellers’ Award for 52 herutsu no kujira tachi (52 Hertz Whales). Her other works include Gyoran (Fish Eggs), Utsukushigaoka no fukou no ie (On the Day of a New Journey), and Sora gohan (Sora’s Meals).
