Abstract

It is 1914 in Europe during World War I. Jörg, a German soldier wounded in Champagne on the Western Front, is saved by a mysterious man who calls himself "The Count" and is asked to protect a girl named Lilla. This is the beginning of "two strange lives."
There are demons lurking in the cracks of reality, laughing at human stupidity, harsh conditions on the battlefield and in the aftermath of gunfire, and a society and humanity that are breaking down.
In search of a future where people can continue to be people, Jörg eventually chooses to save people by living eternally as a demon after much anguish.
A story of demons and humans who secretly fought against reality in Europe during the World War I.
