Abstract

Have you ever noticed that there are full of mysteries in the vegetables on your dining table?
You will see that each vegetable's origins are widely distributed worldwide if you trace their ancestors back.
You will be surprised by their globalistic origins: red pepper from central and south Africa, cabbage from Europe, watermelon from south Africa, cucumber from India...
Also there is another curious aspect that even in the same group of vegetable with name "tomato", their colours, shapes and tastes vary in different varieties.

Author’s Information

The professor of the Okinawa university in Naha city, Japan.
Born in 1962, Chiba prefecture. Called by his popular name "GETCHO".
After graduated the Chiba university in biology department of the faculty of science, started his carreer as a biology teacher at the junior-high and high school of JIYUNOMORI-GAKUEN since 1985.
Quitted and moved to Okinawa in 2000, started working as an instructor of non-profit educational organization of Sangosya-scholē, and served as the president of the Okinawa university from April 2019 to the end of March 2022.
