Author’s Information
Born in Ehime Prefecture in 1958.
He has been fascinated by the lives of butterflies since he was in high school.
He majored in entomology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University.
After graduating, he moved to Tokyo and worked as an assistant director for educational films before going independent as a freelance insect photographer.
He continues to delve into the diverse and mysterious ecology of insects, photographing them from his own unique perspective.
He co-produced "The Four Seasons of the Musashino Plateau[Musashino-Daichi no Shiki]" for the NHK natural science program "A Journey of Living Earth[Ikimono Chikyuu-Kikou]," and has since been involved in videography.
