She won the 15th Kodansha Children's Literature Newcomer's Award and the Newcomer's Award of the Japan Children's Literature Association for her novel, The Mysterious Town Beyond the Fog. He won the 45th Sankei Juvenile Literature Publishing Culture Award for "Miracle Family" and the 59th Shogakukan Juvenile Literature Publishing Culture Award for "The Library of Continuity". In 2022, she won the Batchelder Award for "Temple Alley Summer".
