Abstract

There are a lot of cute illustrations of aquatic habitat!

Humans were born about 7 million years ago. On the other hand, amphibians, which evolved from fish, came on land about 380 million years ago.
Extending back even further, the first life on earth was born about 3.8 billion years ago. Moreover, it is believed that life was born in the depths of the ocean.
In other words, all living organisms originated in water.

In this story, Jiro is taken to the sea by a turtle and learns "how to live well with his surroundings" from various aquatic habitats.
