Abstract

Sara is a member of the Personnel Section, the department that controls the wrongdoings of 40,000 employees of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
He and his colleagues, Saiko Minaguchi and Mouri, have begun a full-scale investigation to find out the full extent of the "Mutual Aid Association" that exists within the agency.
The "Mutual Aid Association" was said to be carrying out private crimes against the wrongdoers that could not be punished by law.
Just then, the head of the inspectorate, the chief of the police department, was targeted. Was this an internal police action or a retaliation by a criminal organization against the police?

Born in Tokyo in 1978. Graduated from Sophia University, Faculty of Law.
After working for a newspaper company, he made his debut in 2013 with "The Invisible Web," which won the 33rd Yokomizo Seishi Mystery Grand Prize.
His "The Snitching," "The Black List" and "The Reverberations" from the "Metropolitan Police Inspector File" series were made into TV dramas in 2021 and 2024, respectively.
