Author’s Information
Daichi Kasuya is the Head of Acupuncture and Moxibustion at the Department of Rehabilitation, the University of Tokyo Hospital. He has completed his medical training at the University of Tsukuba, Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School, and his Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences. He is a doctor of psychosomatic health sciences, Director of the Japan Society of Health Sciences of Mind and Body, and Associate Director of research at the Japan Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. In 1987, he worked at the Department of Physical Therapy (Internal Physical Medicine), the University of Tokyo Hospital. Subsequently, he worked at the Department of Allergy and Rheumatology and finally at the Department of Rehabilitation. He has published numerous research findings and articles, particularly in the field of rheumatology. Moreover, he focuses on teaching the next generation and is a visiting professor at the Takarazuka University of Medical and Health Care, Tokyo Ariake University of Medical and Health Sciences, and Tsukuba University Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School; a training professor at the Kuretake Gakuen; and a part-time lecturer at the Kokusai Shinkyu Training School.
