Abstract

This is a mysterious fantasy based on the Japanese old legend in the Heian period (in the ninth century) about Onono Takamura, a poet who is said to have been back and forth between the other world and this world. With attractive characters such as a girl having deep affection for Gojo Bridge in Kyoto and a one-horned ogre, this brilliant and vigorous story depicts sensitive mind of the adolescent through Takamura’s boyhood, which will be shared by today’s people, not only children but also adults.
