Abstract

Oimo was Momoyo’s family dog. He was a brownish color puppy when he first arrived hence named after his looks, which meant potato. Oimo was the kind of dog that would imperceptibly disappear once in a while but would always be back by dinner time. But that evening was different, he did not return even after dark. No one except Momoyo seemed to be worried about it. Not even Midori, Momoyo’s big sister. The story unfolds with hints of humor scattered and exquisite description of the surroundings. It carries a unique mood of ‘existence’ or ‘no longer existing’, things about ‘now’ and from ‘the past’, ‘true’ things and things ‘in a dream’ all blurred without a border. Enjoy this enchanting story of ‘sometimes’ and ‘eternity’.
