Abstract
A masterpiece of a mystery unraveled by a single umbrella
A boy in the Broadcasting Club was stabbed to death after school in the Old Gymnasium of Kazegaoka High School. It was just after the last class, and raining heavily outside. The police assume that the crime was committed by the only person in the locked-room gym: the head of the Girls Table Tennis Club. Yuno, a member of the Table Tennis Club, asks Tenma Urazome, a no-good anime nerd who lives at the school and is known as a genius, to get to the bottom of the situation to save the head of the club. Then, carefully and logically investigating, he quickly proves the innocence of the head of the table tennis club. So who is the real culprit? A single umbrella in the men’s restroom sets the stage for a raging mystery. The “Ellery Queen of the Heisei era” challenges readers to refine their logic in this full-length mystery.
