Abstract

The concept of "Ikigai", means "the purpose of life" has been attracting the attention among the world. This is the first book which depicts the unique concept in detail by the Japanese psychiatrist Mieko Kamiya. She analyzes and studied what it Ikigai, how it alters among one's stages of life, and whether to live in case we oncer lost it. Througout her experiences with her patients, especially leprosy patients, she explores the first and original horizen of this concept.
