Abstract

This book is for beginners who want to start growing vegetables in an apartment or other place, and contains all the cultivation procedures for growing 90 types of vegetables in containers. It provides detailed explanations, mainly with photos, from sowing seeds to maintenance and harvesting. It is full of tips for container cultivation, such as how to recycle soil.

Author’s Information

Graduated from the Faculty of Horticulture, Chiba University in 1976. Former Associate Professor at the Chiba University Center for Environmental Health and Field Sciences. Specialized in vegetable horticulture. Worked as a self-employed farmer in Mashiko Town while also providing horticulture instruction. Passed away in July 2020. His books include "110 Types of Vegetables for Beginners" (Shinsei Publishing) and supervised books such as "Encyclopedia of How to Grow Vegetables Well" (Seibido Publishing).
