[Makita Zenji] Diabetes specialist. Graduated from Hokkaido University School of Medicine. Conducted research into AGEs, which are attracting attention as a cause of diabetic complications, for about five years at the Biochemistry Department of Rockefeller University in New York and elsewhere. In 2003, opened the AGE Makita Clinic in Ginza, Tokyo, for the treatment of lifestyle habits such as diabetes and obesity.
