Abstract
Among the many ink painting themes, mountains have developed the most oriental spiritual world. Since ancient times, people have felt the power of God as a symbol of nature because of their unreasonable loneliness against the steep mountains, and the greater their appearance, the more afraid of the mountains, and in their own way of life. Poetry and paintings were born in an effort to reproduce. The history of mountains (Shanshui) reflects the view of nature of us Asians, and is a theme that will continue to be drawn for a long time.
In this book, four painters, Shin Uchiya, Kazue Kuyama, Kaichiro Negishi, and Wanen Shin explain the expression of the mountains with their respective methods and works. And at the same time, Gyoukei Shiozawa, ikki Go,Takayuki Shinohara, and Rien publish their own original mountain scenery.
