Abstract

With titles that will interest children, such as "The Fastest Dinosaur Ran as Fast as a Car" and "Stegosaurus Weighed 1,000 Times More Over 40 Million Years," the book provides easy-to-read text and illustrations that explain the realities of dinosaurs in an easy-to-understand manner.
The book also covers the latest research findings, such as "Tyrannosaurus was slow on its feet," which are being revealed one after another in recent years. The contents of each page are rated on a 5-point scale, with 5 stars indicating the level of knowledge, to stimulate children's inquisitiveness.
The book is supervised by Professor Yoshitsugu Kobayashi, a dinosaurologist who played a central role in the excavation and research of the Mukawa Rhinosaur, the largest discovery in the history of Japanese dinosaur research, which drew attention at the Dinosaur Expo 2019 held at the National Museum of Nature and Science.

Author’s Information

Born in Fukui Prefecture in 1971, he is a professor at the Hokkaido University Museum and a visiting professor at the Osaka University Museum. D. in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Wyoming in 1995, and a Ph. D. in 2004 from the Department of Earth Sciences at Southern Methodist University.
