Abstract
"I was completely fascinated by Murakami's works. I was completely fascinated by Murakami's works, not as a professional scholar, but as an individual, a mere fan."
By chance, Rubin read Haruki Murakami's "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World," a much-talked-about work at the time, and was taken aback. Since then, he has become a fan of Murakami's works and a translator who introduces Murakami's works to the world.
