Abstract

Wednesday. Dad moved out today. Father and mother divorced. The house became two houses. The main character, Lenko, is an 11-year-old girl. Through the penetrating eyes of this girl, who is both a parties concerned and an excellent observer, the reality of a child caught up in her parent's divorce is vividly portrayed along with the emotional state of a sensitive young girl in Kyoto in the 1980s. This masterpiece, which won the first Hatoju Muku Children's Literature Award, has been revived with new illustrations by Yoshitomo Nara.
