Abstract

When Alice, an android girl, wakes up from her long-dormant state, she finds an endless sea of mud, and the human population that used to be so numerous has disappeared. Alice's "job" is to explain products to humans. To fulfill her "job," Alice travels through the muddy world in search of the missing humans, accompanied by her creation, the turtle-shaped babysitting robot, Mannen No. 1. Along the way, Alice's brilliant electronic brain is on the verge of a flat tire as strange events occur one after another. Where do the two of them end up on their journey? And where have all the humans disappeared to? This is a strange but somehow gentle story about humans and the world.
