Winner of the Excellence Prize in the 32nd Ayukawa Award.
Highschool student Kodai was looking for the house of an old woman he had met by coincidence a year ago. The only clues to the house were the daphne flowers scenting the garden and mysterious words the old woman had spoken to him.
Mixed up in troubles at his soccer club, the scent of daphne flowers had reminded Kodai of the kind lady and prompted him on the search which leads him to a beautiful garden tended by a gruff young man Takumi.
With his deep knowledge of plants and gardens, and also with his sincere heart, Takumi helps Kodai untangle mysteries and along the way the "problems" in Takumi's life.
