Abstract
It is a gray, smooth oval stone with the Chinese character for "child" in the center. The "mouse stone," which the village children look for on the night of the festival, grants only one wish. Sato, a first-year junior high school student, temporarily disappeared on the day of a festival four years ago. The murderer of a mother and daughter murdered in the village that night is still unknown. As he and his best friend Sei investigate the festival, Sato gets closer to the truth of the case.
