Abstract
As Increasing people enjoy “oldness”, “heritage architectures” are receiving higher revaluation. Some of them have been preserved and revitalized by architectural designers to be transformed into attractive sites. Writer, illustrator, editor, Representative and Editor-in-Chief of BUNGA NET Inc.
Born in Tokyo in 1967. After graduation from Waseda University School of Political Science and Economics in 1990, joined Nikkei BP and assigned in the editorial department of Nikkei Architecture. Served as editor-in-chief of Nikkei Architecture from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, left the company to become independent and presided Office Bunga jointly with Tatsuo Iso. Founded BUNGA NET Inc. in 2021. His authorship includes “Kengo Kuma's Illustrated Book of Architecture”, “The Unknown Architect Group: Nikken Sekkei”, and “Architecture Read with Illustrations: Japanese Aquarium 53 Stations”. Co-authorship includes ”Architectural Pilgrimage” series (co-authored with Tatsuo Iso) and “Understanding of Modernist Architecture with Illustrations and Text” (co-authored with Terunobu Fujimori).
