Author’s Information

Ryushun Kusanagi  
Monk and representative of Kodo no Sato. He was born in Nara Prefecture. After dropping out of junior high school, he ran away from home at 16 and moved to Tokyo. After studying independently, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After working at various occupations, including a policy think tank, he became ordained in his mid-30s. He completed a master's course at the National Buddhist University of Myanmar. In addition to running a social improvement NGO, kindergarten, and elementary school in India, he works alone in Japan to promote "Buddhism as a rational way to help improve people's happiness and society. He is developing his activities, including a summer tour around Japan, Buddhist lectures, and Buddhist rituals incorporating Dharma talks and sutra readings.
