Author’s Information
Yuko Kanda
Counselor specializing in developmental disabilities and Cassandra syndrome. Representative of Office Realise. She has 35 years of experience as a counselor. After working as a secretary at a general company, she began teaching at a vocational school and junior college in Sapporo in 1989. In 1996, she established Yuu Counseling Office. Since 1998, she has been in charge of mental health at the Hokkaido Government Office and later began lecturing and training at public offices and corporations throughout Japan. In 2004, she opened a school for training psychological counselors in Hokkaido, Kumamoto, and Tokyo, and in 2014, she founded "Office Realise. She founded "Cassandra Lab." In April 2023, she integrated the organization into "Tsubara Tsubara," a members-only salon for cross-cultural exchange and learning where people with developmental disabilities and Cassandra Syndrome learn together. After turning 50, she studied as a working student at Sophia University (Grief Care Research Institute) and Lutheran College (Clinical Psychology Course). She obtained a master's degree (Research on Support for Offenders of Crime) from Rikkyo University, Graduate School of Social Design for the 21st Century.
