In this book, Takashi Maeno, a leading researcher in the field of happiness studies, and non-fiction writer Hitomi Senba, explore seven companies that prioritize the happiness of their employees. Author’s Information
Maeno Takashi was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture and raised in Hiroshima Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology and completed a master's course at the same university. He worked at Canon Inc., was a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, a visiting professor at Harvard University, and a professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University. He is currently a professor at the Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University. His research fields range from human-machine interface to happiness studies, emotion studies, empathy studies, innovation education, and community design. His book includes "The Mechanism of Happiness: An Introduction to Practical Happiness Studies" (Kodansha Gendai Shinsho).
Senba Hitomi is from Yamaguchi Prefecture. After working on PR magazine production at an advertising production company and several other companies, she became a freelance editor and writer. She is active in a wide range of fields, from reportage on contemporary Japan and the various issues women face in monthly and weekly magazines, to editing and writing economic, social, and cooking-related books. Her book includes "Diversity and Marketing: Understanding New Corporate Strategies from LGBT Cases" (Sendenkaigi).
