Shinzo Mitsuda made his debut for "Horror Sakka no Sumu Ie"(The House which a horror novelist lives) in 2001. He gains popularity by his distinctive style which he blends horror and mystery. He won the 10th Honkaku Mystery Prize in 2010. He also wrote, "The Detective who reads a shadow of death" series, "Genya Tojo" series, "Nozokime" which is attracted public attention and adapted to a movie, and many others.
