Abstract

An outbreak of what is believed to be a new strain of Avian Influenza (bird flu)
occurs deep in the mountains of the Kansai region, Japan.
In a village of sixty people, one by one, more victims emerge. A medical team has been dispatched but cannot find the infection route. The only road out of the village has been blocked by the police.
Will the people be left to die? Families are torn apart, and some residents are trying to force their way through for the sake of their children. This is a medical suspense filled with a strong sense of reality.
