Abstract
The history of Tibet, guarded by Avalokiteshvara, was a journey to incorporate the orthodox Buddhist thought of India and establish a vast and intricate system of Tantric practice. The existence of successive Dalai Lamas achieved a form of diplomacy based on Buddhist doctrine. We explore the truth of Tibetan Buddhism from all angles, from its unique Buddhist culture and the philosophical ideas of the four major sects to the peace activities of the 14th Dalai Lama.
