“Hyper Hard Boiled Gourmet Report” is a popular cult program that aired irregularly on TV Tokyo from 2017 to 2020. This is the first book by Ryohei Kamide, who created the program that became a hot topic with its “unprecedented'' content in which he ventures into dangerous areas with only his body and camera. A highly anticipated work that depicts the reality of the world that cannot be contained within the program through the images of people eating. It is a modern version of “People Who Eat Food'' (by Tsune Henmi), it is a gourmet book about gourmet food, it is a book about dark tourism that traces the land of tragedy, it is an introduction to the work techniques of those working in the media, and it is a book about the other side of danger. It is a vivid reportage, a story of encounters with people, and a new textbook for an era of division. Although this book was born out of a TV show, it is a must-read not only for fans of the show, but also for those who have never seen the show. The program is currently being distributed on U-NEXT.

Author’s Information

Television director and producer. Born in Tokyo in 1989. After graduating from Waseda University, he joined TV Tokyo Co., Ltd. in 2011 and left in June 2022. Planning and directing the “Hyper Hard Boiled Gourmet Report” series. Responsible for the entire process of program production, from planning, location, filming, and editing.
