Abstract

There are many cases in which the founder of agricultural water is enshrined as a ``human deity,'' and in some places this continues to be the case even today.
This was both a genuine expression of gratitude from the people and a device to overcome the hardships of maintaining and managing water.
Based on fieldwork, we will draw a picture of water usage practices and human deities in agricultural water in various regions.
